Ridgewood College is an independent private school with Christian ethos, staffed by passionate professionals, dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning, striving to be recognized as a school that maximizes learning opportunities, to ensure students develop a broad range of skills and strong sense of values.
Each learner’s strength and needs are recognized and met in an individual way. Our participation in cultural and sporting activities internally and externally nurtures an ethos of dedication, commitment and growth.
Ridgewood College provides a high level of educational awareness with strong and active parental support. Ridgewood College is home to a diverse student body of boys and girls, from Grade RRR to Grade 12. We are a school with many strengths – a culture of performance, excellent teachers, a commitment to parent body, and enthusiastic learners. The language of teaching and learning is English, and Afrikaans is incorporated as the first additional language and Zulu as the conversational language. The class compliment for Grades RRR to 12 are very favourable, ranging from 18-20 children in a class. Ridgewood College follows the revised New National Curriculum and the Curriculum and Assessment Policy (CAPS).

Mission Statement
Created with the holistic development of young learners in mind, we fully commit ourselves to develop within our students a social conscience to recognize the importance of contributing to his/her family, school and the wider community. Our aim is to equip all our students with a broad range of skills and abilities, while our CAPS aligned curriculum integrates the three core learning areas of our students – Home Language, Life Skills and Mathematics.
